China, circa 7th century A.D. As time pass, the Tang Emperor LISIBIN continues his reign over a thriving country. Meanwhile, SIEJINKWIE, now a Duke, rules his territory with justice and wisdom. Alas, Siejinkwie falls into a trap devised by BIEJIN and her husband, LITOCONG, aided by their chamberlain, THIOJIN. Siejinkwie is falsely charged with misconduct. A letter of complaint is sent to the Emperor. Without even a hint of consideration, the Emperor becomes furiois and intends to execute Siejinkwie.
Many people come to Siejinkwie's aid. Among others, LIUIMHWA, Siejinkwie's wife, and their daughter, SIEKIMLIAN, supported by Duke's cloes friends who attempt tp appease the Emperor's rage. Amidst the confusion, comes a war challange from a foregin country. The Tang Empire is in a grave dilemma, because the country's one and only warrior general is awaiting his death sentence. What events will unfold next??
TEATER KOMA continues the tale of the hero in white, SIE JIN KWIE, with its latest play, SIE JIN KWIE DEFAMED. Gorgeous costume designs are once again combined with spectacular dance numbers, distinctive songs and music. A truly entertaining spectacle, yet still filled with meaning and thought. The performance will coincide with the celebration of Teater Koma's 34'th anniversary (1977-2011). (taken from Teater Koma booklet)
